Case Study: Google
Spread of Google Pixel Phones
Google Store needed to launch multiple flagship products—Pixel 5a with 5G, Nest (indoor, wired), and Pixel 6a—across 31+ countries simultaneously. With over 100 stakeholders, compressed timelines, and a multi-million dollar budget, the challenge was orchestrating a cohesive global launch while accommodating regional nuances and maintaining brand consistency across all touch points.
Global product launches require work cross-functionally with brand strategists, designers, developers, as well as agency partners. During the launch of Pixel 5a with 5G, Nest (indoor, wired) and Pixel 6a on Google Store, my team (along with 100+ stakeholders) used insights and data to craft a memorable brand experience for each product. These digital experiences transformed perception, informed and strengthened bonds to the brand across 31+ locales/countries.
As Senior Integrated Producer, I led the end-to-end production and project management for these critical product launches. I served as the central coordination hub between brand strategists, creative teams, developers, localization specialists, legal teams, and agency partners, cutting down our timeline by 50%.
The collaborative processes I developed for these launches fundamentally transformed how Google Store approaches global product launches. The streamlined workflows and cross-functional partnerships I established continue to drive efficiency and innovation for subsequent product releases. I helped shepherd adoption of Google Store’s creative and marketing operating models and product launch processes. Using project management skills and flexible organization methods, I helped teams to communicate, collaborate and deliver industry-leading creative work in an ambiguous environment with competing cross-functional priorities.
